The following services and ministries are briefly described for
your initial review. The way to truly become involved is to call the contact
person listed in the individual ministry descriptions in this directory. If you
have difficulty getting in touch with a particular group, please call the Parish
Office (209) 835-4560 for assistance.
ALBS: The alb volunteers rotate every ten weeks the cleaning of the albs.
ALTAR SERVERS: Instruction sessions are provided at various times throughout the year.
AMIGOS DE DIOS: Grupo de Oración Carismática.Contact: Gloria Mendoza at 839-8682 APOSTOLES DE LA PALABRA: Contact: Esperanza Parocua at 836-9516BRIGHTER CHRISTMAS: This project takes place during Advent.Contact: The Parish Office at 835-4560 Ext. 111, 163 or 110 BULK MAILINGS: Volunteers are needed at various times throughout the year.
CATHOLIC YOUTH ORGANIZATION (CYO): CYO offers Girls Basketball, Volleyball and Boys Basketball. They compete in the Stockton Diocese.
CENACLE: This group meets every Thursday from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the Convent Chapel.
CHARISMATIC PRAYER GROUP: This group meets every Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
CLEANING FOR JESUS: These volunteers meet every Thursday after the 8:00am Mass to clean the entire church.
COUPLES FOR CHRIST: For more information…
CURSILLO DE CRISTIANDAD: A 3-day retreat where afterwards, they form weekly friendship groups to share their Christian experiences.

ENVIRONMENT: This committee is responsible for decorating the church during the different seasons of the liturgical year.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Every first Thursday of the month. EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS: Instruction sessions are provided at various times throughout the year.
FALL FESTIVAL: This takes place at the end of September.

“GARDEN OF EATON” (Green Team): This ministry meets every first Wednesday of the month.

GUARDERÍA “JARDÍN INFANTIL”:
Sábados desde las 6:00 pm durante la Misa de 6:30 pm. Domingos desde las 12:30 pm durante la Misa de 1:00 pm.ITALIAN CATHOLIC FEDERATION (I.C.F.): This group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month in Fr. Fleming Hall.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: This group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of each month in the Small Hall.
LECTORS: Instruction sessions are provided at various times throughout the year.
LINENS: Volunteers prepare the Sacred Linens 2 or 3 times a month. Each month has a different group of ladies.

MUSIC MINISTRY: This ministry provides singers and instrumentalists to support the liturgy at all Weekend Masses.
NURSERY CARE: Childcare is provided at the 7:00 p.m. Saturday Mass, the 9:30am, 11:15am and 1:00pm Sunday Masses.

PARISH BULLETIN: Our bulletin is published weekly. Deadline for submission of material is two weeks prior to the Sunday you wish it to appear.
PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL: Pastor appointed members serve for 3 year terms. For more information...
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL: The council meets the last Monday of the month. The meetings are all open forum except the June meeting.

“RE-MEMBERING”: For those who have been away from the church. For more information...
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM: This program is provided for children in first grade through confirmation. We also have a Special Education class for those who are developmentally delayed or have a learning disability.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR ADULTS: This program offers adults of all ages a basic knowledge of the Catholic Faith. The classes are available at nine different times during the week including Saturday.
R.E.S.P.E.C.T.: This is a special religious program designed for the mentally challenged Christian.
RESPECT LIFE: This deals with the promotion and education of the parish and the community in the ethics of Respect for Life.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION FOR ADULTS (R.C.I.A.): This is for adults wishing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation or enter into full communion with the church. These classes are on a weekly basis.
SCHOOL ADVISORY COMMITTEE (SAC): The SAC is constituted and commissioned by the Pastor to provide advice, consultation, and all other necessary assistance as requested to the Principal of the School. Meetings are once a month.
SCRIPTURE STUDY: Programs are available during Lent and in the Fall and run between 7 and 13 weeks, depending on the Book of the Bible studied.
SOCIAL MINISTRY: This ministry reaches out to those in need through various ministries such as Direct Service, Respect Life, Migrant Farm-Workers Minsitry and Advocacy. For more information

ST. BERNARD’S RELIGIOUS STORE/THRIFT STORE: The Stores are open from 10:00am to 5:00pm weekdays.

SUNDAY SCHOOL: This is during the Sunday 9:30am Mass in the School from October through May .

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: A weeklong program that is held in the summer for children ages 4-11. Contact: Jacque Leman at 832-8602 WALL OF REMEMBERANCE: This is located in the main entrance of Fr. Fleming Hall. Purchasing a leaf or stone may be done through the office.
WAY OF THE CROSS: The Way of the Cross is every Thursday and Friday during Lent. Please check the bulletin for times.
