The Sunday School Nursery Care team needs your help. If you have children enrolled in the program and are interested in assisting, please see the requirements below:

• New Diocese guidelines require all adults working with children to be fingerprinted

• You will be helping the Nursery Coordinators

• Responsibilities include caring and playing with the children and helping with snacks

• Sign up sheet is available every Sunday

• Please arrive in the Kindergarten room by 9:00 a.m. on your scheduled day

• You will be given a name badge when you help to identify you to the other parents as they drop off their children

At times, we also need help in the Sunday School classes for special projects or during the Celebrations. Please volunteer by calling:

SUNDAY SCHOOL: Barbara Arena 832-3260

Your children will be staying in the Kindergarten Room of St. Bernard's School while you participate in the Eucharistic Celebration. Please:

• Sign your child in on the attendance sheet

• Place a name tag on your child's back (so they won't remove it)

• If needed, bring a diaper and wipes or a stocked diaper bag labeled with your child's name

• If your child needs special attention, please let one of the volunteers assist you

• After Mass, return to the Kindergarten room and sign your child out on the attendance sheet

While you are at Mass:

• The children play inside, watch videos, listen to stories, or play on the playground outside in the Kindergarten play area.

• Your child will be supervised by the Nursery coordinators, parent volunteers and student helpers

• The children are served a snack so please let us know if there are certain things your child cannot eat or drink

The Nursery is adequately equipped for newborns through.2-1/2 year olds. If you have any questions or concerns please let us know.

During Sunday School, your children will be learning about God's wonderful world and His love for them. The classes are in the east end of St. Bernard's School and we ask that you enter through the doors located between the boys and girls restrooms.

    Please:

• Sign your child in on the attendance sheet for their age group (3, 4, or 5 years old)

• Parents must accompany each child to their classroom. (Please allow extra time if you have more than one child.)

• After Mass, sign your child out on the attendance sheet

Donations received for Nursery and Sunday School are used to purchase classroom supplies, teacher's manuals, books, snacks and craft supplies for the projects your children bring home.
