Parish Mission Statement

What's New:

 

    Religious Education Classes start the week of August 16th:

Monday classes start August 16th @ 3-4 p.m. in the Small Hall.
Tuesday classes start August 17th @ 4-5 p.m. in the Large Hall.
Wednesday classes start August 18th @ 4-5 p.m. in the Large Hall.
Thursday classes start August 19th @ 4-5 p.m. in the Large Hall.
Saturday classes start August 21st @ 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the School.

 

The balances on registration fees are past due.

All outstanding balances must be paid.

Religious Education Office Hours

8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 

 

 

Religious Education Program 1st through 12th Grade . . .


 . . . is a process that was designed for children who have not yet received their First Reconciliation or First Holy Communion.  The parent’s Adult Education requirement is 40 hours (20 per year). The 40 hours must be completed before the child can begin their final year of preparation.

 

Domestic Church Catechesis . .  .


 . . . is a process that enables the parents to be the primary educators of their children as they prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.  This is a two-year process. A student must be at least in 3rd grade to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion.  The parents are required to complete 40 hours (20 per year) of Adult Religious Education. The 40 hours must be completed before the child can begin their final year of preparation.

 

Confirmation...


 . . . is a two year process that was designed for children, in 6th grade or higher, who have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation.  During this process, the students are required to complete Community Service Hours.

Children's Catechumen Process . . .

 . . . is designed for children who are not Baptized and are entering 4th grade or above.  This is at least a two (2) year process.  This time frame is determined by the child's  readiness, to receive all three (3) Sacraments of Initiation; Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation. The parent’s have an Adult Education requirement of 40 hours (20 per year).

 . . . is a special religious program designated for the mentally challenged Christian.  It is taught under the ROSE FITZGERALD KENNEDY PROGRAM TO IMPROVE CATHOLIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH MENTAL CHALLENGES.
