The following ministries involve many of our Filipino parishioners.  To truly become involved is to call the contact person listed in the individual ministry descriptions in this directory.  If you have difficulty getting in touch with a particular group here, please call the Parish Office (209) 835-4560 for assistance.
 

FILIPINO MINISTERIAL TEAM

       

     The Filipino Ministerial Team or Core Team is made up of representatives of all the Ministries under the Filipino Ministries of St Bernard's Parish (FMSBP).  This team supports all Filipino ministers and parishioners and coordinates all the activities of the Filipino community in our Parish.  They meet every second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 P.M.

FILIPINO MINISTRIES OF ST BERNARD'S PARISH (FMSBP)

 

CHARISMATIC: The Tracy Charismatic Prayer Group is a praise and worship ministry inspired by the workings of the Holy Spirit. Regular prayer meetings are held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Ministry Hall of St. Bernard's.  Bible study is every first and third Tuesday. A small group sharing is held every second and fourth Tuesday.  Special activities include Prayer Conferences, Life in the Spirit seminars, and marriage enrichment seminars.

The charism of the Tracy Charismatic Prayer Group is in uniting families through the gifts of the holy Spirit.

COUPLES FOR CHRIST: Couples for Christ (CFC) is a movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life. The members have committed themselves to the Lord and to one another so that they may grow in maturity as men and women of God and fulfill their primary vocation of raising up families under the lordship of Jesus Christ and for the service of the Kingdom of God.

Couples for Christ is a work of Christ which raises up Christian couples and establishes Christian families committed to the work of evangelization, winning the world for Christ and Total Human Liberation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

It grows mainly through the establishment of localized units in different parishes.

OUTREACH: The Outreach Ministry seeks to spread the Liturgy by reaching out to the community, to encourage parishioners to get involved through stewardship, and to nurture and help the Catholic community as a whole through community-based projects and activities.

TANGING ALAY MUSIC MINISTRY (TAMM): 'Tanging Alay' is a Tagalog word meaning 'Our Dearest Offering'.  The Tanging Alay Music Ministry (TAMM) is composed of several families who share the love for musical expression through the Liturgy.  The group's style is geared towards the traditional choral four-part harmony with a mix of contemporary genre, accompanied by strings, woodwind and piano instruments.  The group has been together since March 4, 2001 and is still going strong.

 

Their current schedule is as follows:  4PM, St. Bernard's Church every 1st & 4th Sunday, & 5th Sunday (if there is one). 11AM, Holy Family Center every 2nd Sunday of the Month. They have every 3rd Sundays off.

 

Choir membership is open to all, and the only requirements are commitment, and the ability to sing simple melodies.  Practices are held every Friday night at 7:30PM.  Please contact the following for more information:
