TO OUR NEW PARISHIONERS | ||||||||||||||||||||
|
The Priests and members of your new Parish welcome you. We look forward to welcoming you! For many reasons it is important that you register as a Parishioner. To find out more about our parish and get involved, click on these links
below: It is no coincidence that there is a common root in the etymology of the words “communion” and “community.” As social beings, we humans need each other. We especially sense that a positive relationship emerges when we come together for prayer and worship. While there is a profusion of books and other resources on individual spirituality, prayer, and devotion, there is also an innate desire to be part of a larger faith community and not just develop one’s spirituality in isolation. REGISTERED IN THE PARISH? To avoid problems or misunderstandings, especially when planning Baptisms and Marriages, or when you have special requests for the Parish, etc., you need to be registered and active. So are you registered and active?
If you answer "yes" to any of the above, you are not registered. Please come to the Parish Office to register. The Office hours are: Monday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm. Tuesday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Closed during July). Your Parish needs you! Registering in a Parish is a declaration of your desire to be part of a Catholic community and to make a commitment to the life of the Parish Family. Clearly stating your Catholic commitment in all its dimensions brings many advantages, recognition, and responsibility.
Being a registered parishioner makes the process much easier when it is time for a sacrament, registering for religious education or school, as well as receiving permission letters to be a sponsor. You will receive all Parish information mailings as well as have the opportunity to receive contribution envelopes so your donations will be noted and a yearly tax statement will be sent to you. We accept anyone who wants to share in the life of this Parish. Come and be a part of this family.
