Perpetual Adoration

When you look upon the Sacred Host, YOU LOOK UPON JESUS, who looks upon the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life. Him I will raise up on the last day." (Jn 6:40)

Here at St. Bernard's we are continually blessed due to the number of Masses scheduled daily and the access we have to the Blessed Sacrament in our Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel.

Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration wins many graces for the individual, the family, the parish, the diocese, the universal Church, and the world. "Especially from the Eucharist, grace is poured forth upon us as from a fountain."

Pope John Paul II in Sacrosanctum Concilium

All are welcome to adore our Lord in our chapel. If you have questions please call Anita Laspina @ 835-3173. Para Asistencia en Español favor de llamar a Claudia Fierros 221-7172/627-7905.

As we pray to God we are doing all the talking.  Do we hear Him respond?  Would you like to experience a quiet peaceful place to rest in His Real Presence; listen for His answers and comforting message?  The Perpetual Adoration Chapel here in our Parish is that very place.

YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO CHOOSE YOUR HOUR.

With the exception of Mass, being in the Real Presence of our Lord, before the Blessed Sacrament, cannot be compared to anything else you will do for your soul. The silent and meditative atmosphere alone with Jesus is a personal one on one that must be experienced to be believed. Ask anyone who has made this commitment.

Prayer partners. These are the other people dedicated to your hour. If you are sick or on vacation you will contact one of them to make sure someone is always with our Lord!

Some folks ask: “What do I do while I'm there for my hour?” First and foremost you will find, as everyone has, that an hour with our Lord moves very quickly. You will experience a sense of “something missing” in your week if you ever have reason to need a substitute.

This is your time with Jesus! You may say a Rosary, pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet, or read the Bible. We find this is a great opportunity to enjoy the many books available to us that teach us about our faith. Or, just sit in silence and listen to Him. Moms with small children say this is a wonderful time to excuse them from the everyday turmoil and get connected with our Lord.

Jesus said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour?” Matthew 26:40
