Vacation Bible School is a week long
summer program for children ages 4 to and including 4th grade.
V. B. S. is a theme-based Bible
instructional program run by volunteers. Our goal is to help children
learn about Jesus' Love and Teachings, through arts and crafts, songs, skits,
and Bible verses.
Typically V. B. S. will run from 9:00
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday in the second week of June.
Each day, your child will be going on a
journey to learn about Jesus. Each day's lessons will have a theme which
relates to the Bible story application, craft and recreational activity.
On Friday, the children will celebrate what
they learned through fun activities and a closing program. After the
closing program, we invite all families to join us for a picnic lunch.
REGISTRATION
V. B. S. is for registered St. Bernard
parishioners and their families. There will be a "Registration Day"
approximately one month prior to the start date of camp (early may). Watch
the Parish Bulletin for dates and times.
Students should be registered two weeks prior
to the start date of camp in order for teachers to plan classroom activities and
order appropriate supplies.
A minimal fee is required to register your
child for V. B. S. These fees cover the cost of supplies used
throughout the week and the food for our Picnic on the last day of the camp.
