Our primary mission is to evangelize alongside the families of our parish community through the recitation of the Holy Rosary and to serve and support our parish events as directed by our pastor.

Our ongoing mission

Our Praying Families mission gives us the opportunity to visit families in their homes and build relationships through hospitality, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and part of a single ecclesial family.

Novena to Our Lady

During the Novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe in December, we participate by presenting a short reenactment of the apparitions of the *Morenita* at Tepeyac, Mexico, in 1531.

Every Sunday at the 1:30 PM Spanish Mass, the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is presented to a family that has signed up and been scheduled for that date; two missionaries visit the family from Monday to Friday of that week to pray the Rosary with them, asking the Mother of Jesus to intercede for the family's intentions and those of the world.

Each year, we hold a Missionary Week during the first few days of October, as it is the month of Missions and the month of Our Lady of the Rosary.

This Missionary Week involves presenting images of Our Lady of Guadalupe to ten families from our community—who have been scheduled in advance—across the three Spanish Masses held on Saturday and Sunday at the start of the week. During this week, all missionaries go out on mission to evangelize through the recitation of the Holy Rosary, and the following weekend, the families return the images.

Guadalupanos thruout the years

Our Missionaries of the Virgin of Guadalupe ministry serves our parish community at St. Bernard’s Church in Tracy, California.

It was founded in 2010 by Father Jorge Alfonso Roman del Real. We currently consist of 11 couples.

Our coordinator attends the monthly meetings with the Hispanic Committee and the quarterly parish leadership meetings.

We missionaries also hold a monthly meeting in the San Lorenzo Room to share announcements from those other meetings and address any needs that arise.
