An Altar Server is a person who assists the priest or deacon in the celebration of the Liturgy.
Qualifications
- Must be baptized and have received 1st Communion.
- Must be entering the 5th grade or older.
- Must attend yearly training here at St. Bernard’s.
Time Requirements
Altar servers are scheduled to serve Mass on Sunday or Saturday, at the Mass which they normally attend.
In addition, if you are available we may ask if you are willing to serve at funerals, weddings and special celebrations when needed.
